“ERA: THEN AND NOW”

This video spans 100 years of activism in 8 minutes. You will hear “Alice Paul” speak from the pulpit of First Presbyterian Church of Seneca Falls where, in 1923, she delivered the one sentence that is the basis of the current proposed Equal Rights Amendment. Alice Paul is portrayed by Rev Leah Ntuala, Pastor at this historic church.

Then fast-forward to today with Constitutional expert Julie C. Suk, author of We the Women: The Unstoppable Mothers of the Equal Rights Amendment. In this riveting account of women leading the way, Professor Suk, “tells the story of the ERA through the voices of the bold women lawmakers who created it.”
