Mission

To close the gender gap at all levels of government leadership. 1st Amendment-1st Vote, Inc. offers high school girls a non-partisan opportunity to engage in the democratic process, and to imagine themselves in elected office or professional government-related positions.

HAPPY FEBRUARY from the snow-filled view out my window. This month’s message is coming to you from the heart-center of 1st Amendment-1st Vote, as heard in Aislyn’s brief video here…give a quick listen!

When asked what I’m doing these days, I often respond, “enjoying my heart-work.” Each day, as Board President, I have the opportunity to engage my passions for education and community service by working with and for teens like Aislyn who seem to have been born with leadership genes! They inspire each other with their motivation to be change-makers and captivate the women-in-government they meet through our now famous Roundtable Chats. Our teens discover job opportunities in government they never knew existed and uncover women’s history often left out of their textbooks. They’re excited about what they are learning, sharing, creating, and about their future. Their enthusiasm to make a difference in this world spreads to all who hear about their 1st Amendment-1st Vote experience.

During this month of February, please find it in your heart to support our important program for teen girls by joining our family of funders with your gift. All donations to our 501(c)(3) non-profit are tax-deductible: www.1stalstv.org/ways-to-donate.

Please be our Valentine,
